Center-Stanton musicians earned bragging rights during two recent trips to Washburn, taking home top honors from a pair of festivals.

The Wildcats’ high school band and choir traveled to McLean County on Mandan for the Regional Large Group festival, with each ensemble performing for multiple judges.

Every participating ensemble earned the highest possible score from judges.

“We received our highest honors ever….every ensemble received the highest rating of a star,” Instructor Lacey Hanson said.

Along with the most recent festival, the musicians excelled during a previous event the week before.

A total of 45 solo and ensembles were performed by Center-Stanton students during the McLean County Music Festival on March 5. All but one of the performances earned a blue ribbon, the topmost rating.
